Time Candy
The four Time Candies: how many balls each banks, which bins drop them and at what odds, plus the Ball Grove and garden sources.
Time Candy is a consumable that simulates a stretch of offline ball regen on the spot. Your balls trickle back at one every 30s; a candy hands you that many minutes' worth in one bite — a 30 Minute Candy is 60 balls, a 4 Hour Candy is 480. It is not pet food and it is not the candy that fills the ARCADE machine's level bar (
that candy is a score, not an item).
The four candies
| Candy | Rarity | Time | Balls | Drops from | Chance per landing | Balls per 1,000 landings | bag label |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| COMMON | 30m | 60 | Silver | 0.025% (1 in 4,000) | 15 | 30 Min Time Candy | |
| UNCOMMON | 1h | 120 | Gold | 0.0333% (1 in 3,000) | 40 | 1 HR Time Candy | |
| RARE | 2h | 240 | Emerald | 0.05% (1 in 2,000) | 120 | 2 HR Time Candy | |
| EPIC | 4h | 480 | Ruby | 0.1% (1 in 1,000) | 480 | 4 HR Time Candy |
The "balls per 1,000 landings" column is chance × balls: what a bin's candy roll is worth on average. Ruby's 4 Hour Candy is the big earner: its candy drops 2× as often as Emerald's and pays 2× the balls, so a Ruby landing's candy roll is worth 4× an Emerald one's.
How the drop works
- Candy is an independent extra roll on top of the bin's normal reward — you still get the coins, gems, balls or portal the bin rolled. Silver, Gold, Emerald and Ruby each carry one candy tier; Grey, Bronze and Diamond never drop candy.
- Each tier banks twice the balls of the one below it, but the odds do not double each step — the ladder reads 1 in 4,000 → 1 in 3,000 → 1 in 2,000 → 1 in 1,000 (steps of ×1.33, ×1.5, ×2).
- No Marquee or pet buff raises the base candy rate, but the rare-drop multipliers scale the roll: the Aurora Wyrm's iridescent balls (its rare-drop doubling applies to the candy roll), the Aurora Wyrm pet card (+10/20/30/45/60% rare drops at 1–5★), and a game-wide drop-rate setting (currently ×1).
- Every world uses the same table — the odds above are the odds in W1 Classic W2 Aurora W3 Flora W4 Maelstrom. A few rolls are reduced, though: split balls roll candy at a quarter rate, W4 Maelstrom dive-board bins roll it at ×0.25, and a portal landing skips the roll (the loot comes from wherever the warp lands).
Other sources
Ball Grove
Finishing a Ball Grove run rolls the fruit basket 3 times against its loot table; two of the rows are candy (regular and hard pay the same one candy):
| Candy | Chance per roll | Chance per run (3 rolls) |
|---|---|---|
| 2.18% (1 in 45.9) | 6.39% (1 in 15.7) | |
| 1.08% (1 in 92.3) | 3.22% (1 in 31.1) |
In your garden, every bush grows 4 harvest sprites and each one has a 0.5% (1 in 200) chance to be a 30 Minute Candy sprite instead of a balls / gems / gold-balls one. A candy sprite pays a candy on every tap until its 3 lives run out (each tap has a 50% chance to burn a life), so one candy sprite is worth about 6 candies.
Using candy
- Open the bag's CANDY tab, tap a stack and choose how many to use — using several at once multiplies the time and pays it in one grant.
- Candy banks over the ball cap. The cap only throttles passive regen, so a full ball bag plus a 4 Hour Candy is 480 balls above the cap, ready to launch.
- Candy is not tradable and cannot be gifted.
Tips
- Eat candy when you are at the cap and about to play — every ball it banks is a ball regen would not have given you.
- Chasing candy? Play the deepest bins you can reach: Ruby's roll is 1 in 1,000 for 480 balls, 4× Silver's odds for 8× the balls. Portals that carry a ball up the tiers (see portals) are the cheapest way to get there.
